While breast feeding, always position yourself upright and place a small comfortable pillow underneath your buttocks. This will keep your lumbar spine in a concave position and will help relieve unnecessary tension. Make sure to raise your head frequently as this will eliminate pain in your neck.
Taking a siesta
Lack of sleep severely affects your mental well-being as well as your physical health. While you baby is sleeping, instead of over exerting yourself with household tasks, try letting yourself rest. Your body needs time to relax, heal and rest.
A Bit of Exercise
Regain your bodily strength. Toning and core strength is imperative to physical health.
Holding and Picking up your Baby
Make sure to move your baby from hip to hip. Do not hold your child against one side of your body constantly as this will cause incredible strain. Do not bend with your spine to lift your child. Keep your back straight and bend with your knees and hips… your back has experienced enough stress.
